With Halloween approaching, I thought October was the perfect time to get some spooky reads from the library. Here’s what I’m reading in case you’re looking for a new book too.

📚 A Witch’s Guide To Fake Dating A Demon by Sarah Hawley
I don’t tend to read novels like this, so was excited to explore a different genre. It was a fun, humorous and sexy story about a witch and demon falling in love. I’m looking forward to reading the next in the series!📚 Cemetery Boys by Aiden Thomas
I’ve read this novel before, but can’t wait to read it again this Halloween. It follows a trans boy named Yadriel who summons the ghost of Julian and together they investigate the mystery of what happened to him. I LOVED this book but have forgotten much of the story, so am excited to no doubt fall in love with it again..png)
Do you read supernatural or spooky novels at Halloween? If so, what are you reading? Do you think you might pick up one of these? Let me know in the comments 😊

📚 The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches by Sangu Mandanna
Goodreads described this book as “cozy mystery” that involved witches, so I snapped it up right away. It follows a witch named Mika who moves to a remote and mysterious house to teach three young witches how to control their magic. I read the whole book in one day - it was the first time I did nothing but read on a Saturday in a long time!📚 Vampires of El Norte by Isabel Canas
I was drawn to this book because it was described as a “supernatural western.” It follows the story of Nena as she and her loved ones work to protect their home from the Anglo settlers (and vampires!) attacking her community. I was up past 2am reading because I had to know how it ended!📚 The Gilded Crown by Marianne Gordon
I borrowed this e-book from the library yesterday and am already 1/4 of the way through. I’m super invested in Hellevir’s story. She is able to raise the dead, at a personal cost, and is summoned to protect the Queen’s granddaughter. As I write this caption I am very tempted to stop working and to return to the book to keep reading. I can’t wait to find out what happens next!Do you read supernatural or spooky novels at Halloween?
